Modest Changes
This 15 foot wide house in Piedmont needed an updated kitchen. The design was based on using a large stove that the owner already owned and the budget was quite restricted. The room was not enlarged, the plumbing was not relocated and no door or window openings were changed. The space was approximately 14 feet square.
First Bay Architecture also designed a small two story addition to the side of the house, reconfigured the entry, and added a small bedroom.
This project, completed in 2003, won a City of Piedmont Design Excellence Award.
